So, you want to know about me? I hope you are looking for someone to advise you on a real estate purchase in Costa Rica and you would like to reassure yourself that I actually know what I am doing. Let me give you a quick synopsis.
The last 20 years I have been a licensed Realtor in the state Florida. The company I worked with for the last 12 years, Re/Max Partners, is the largest Re/Max company in the state with 7 offices. I finished my career as a Re/Max "Hall of Fame" Realtor. As my award states, "You have produced Real Estate sales exceeding those of entire sales staffs of other companies". Whoopie!! With the cost of living in South Florida, one needs to sell a lot of houses just to survive. But what does that mean for a person wanting to purchase a property in Costa Rica? I will bring the same integrity and honesty to real estate sales in Costa Rica that has served me so well in my career in South Florida.
Before becoming a Realtor, I spent 10 years traveling the world. Yeah, I was a hippie with a backpack and I loved every minute if it. I traveled all the states and Canada and then branched out. I spent 2 years in Latin America from northern Mexico to southern Chile, 2 years in Europe, 6 months in Southeast Asia, 6 weeks in Africa, and various short trips to islands in the Caribbean. After seeing a lot of places, I chose to retire in Costa Rica.
I currently live in Southern Costa Rica with my lovely wife Lucy. We have a small farm (40 acres) just outside San Isidro de el General. With my real estate experience, fluent Spanish, and enthusiasm, locals trust me. They are approaching me constantly with property they want to sell. Sometimes they ask ridiculous prices and I tell them they are overpriced. I will not sell overpriced property to Gringos, and I will not steal property from locals for the benefit of foreigners. I believe that a successful transaction is one where both the buyer and seller are happy and the sale is beneficial to both. We will all be neighbors and I expect to remain friends long after the sale is completed. I hope you can find your piece of Paradise like my wife and I have. Pura Vida!
